The Birthstone Book Tag – Amber

Hello everyone! I though it was time for another book tag, today I’ll be doing the Birth Stone Book Tag. Let’s start!

January (GARNET):
Associated with warding off negative forces and dark energies – Name a book with the darkest/evilest character you can think of.

This was kind of a hard question for me, there are a lot of villains so I’m going to go with either Loki (from the Magnus Chase books) or Dinah’s father (the King of Hearts in the Queen of Hearts saga). I mean, forcing your children to die? Killing your own son and then blaming your daughter? Pretty harsh in my opinion.

February (AMETHYST):
Purple is associated with royalty – Name a book with regal qualities… You can base this off of characters of choose the King of all books

Three Dark Crowns, by Kendare Blake! This book is about 3 sisters, all queens of the same island but they must kill one another in order to be the real queen, so basically you kill your own sisters in order to get the throne. How lovely.

March (AQUAMARINE):
Washed out – Name a ‘wishy washy’ character, a character who is not strong or a follower

Literally anyone from the Gossip Girl book series, they just do whatever they want and cry when they don’t get it. The TV series is much better if you’d ask me.

April (DIAMOND):
A diamond in the rough – Name a book that you loved but is not well known

The Ice Dragon by George RR Martin, it is a fairytale kind of book set in the A Song of Ice and Fire world, absolutely loved it!

May (EMERALD):
Said to balance energy – Name two characters who balance each other well

Thorne and Cress from the Lunar Chronicles, I just love them together.

June (PEARL):
Associated with loyalty – Name a character who is loyal to the end

Simon Lewis from the Mortal Instruments, his friendship with Clary, his ”rivalry” with Jace. I don’t know, I just really appreciate how he keeps being with friends with Clary without judging her (I mean he did sometimes but not that I minded).

July (RUBY):
Blood red – Name a book that made your blood boil, one that made you angry

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne, there was so frikking much wrong with this book, almost all of the problems I have with this book are historical problems and I just can’t.

August (PERIDOT):
Pale green (it pales in comparison to other gems) – Name a supporting character who you like better than the main character

Wolf from the Lunar Chronicles, it’s not really a supporting character I guess but I kind of like him more than Scarlet so.

(SAPPHIRE):
Blue like the ocean which is calming – Name a book that had a calming affect on you

The Selection series, the books are light, fluffy, romantic and you can read it easily.

October (OPAL): Iridescent
Name an iridescent book, this can be a book with a beautiful cover (Shiny? Lots of color?) or you can base it off of a character (Quirky? Colorful?)

First life by Gena Showalter, this book cover is A-MAZ-ING, the books as well is something I recommend so it’s a win-win situation.

November (TOPAZ):
Associated with resilience – Name a books with a character who rises to the top in a time of adversity

Mariko from Flame in the Mist, she rises within the circles of the Black Clan until they accept her and just socialize with her without judging her etc. etc.

December (BLUE ZIRCON):
Associated with friendship – Name a book with a friendship you want to be apart of

Can I be friends with Percy, Annabeth and Grover please? Thanks.

That was it for today! I tag you, yes the person who is reading this to do the tag as well.

Bye!
