The Coffee Book Tag – Amber

Hi, everyone! It’s Amber! It has been a while since the last tag, so I thought why not do a tag now? Also, I’m trapped inside my house because of the heat. Guys, it’s actually hot in the Netherlands. This tag is rather simple but very fun to do, so now you’re tagged to do this tag 🙂 So basically there are some kinds of coffee which relate to a question about books which you have to answer. Not so hard now, is it? Let’s start:

Black: Name a series that’s tough to get in but has hardcore fans

For this ”question” I have to say The Mortal Instruments. In City of Bones, the world has to be build up to understand it – it’s a bit hard to remember types of demons, faeries, and all the other creatures. You have to remember the runes to understand them later in the series, but once you start you can’t hold back. I’ve been a fan of Cassandra Clare’s work for about 2 or 3 years and I seriously can’t wait for the next books to be written by Cassandra Clare!

Peppermint Mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or festive time of year

Harry Potter? I don’t know. I like to continue reading the books or series that I have started earlier, it doesn’t really matter to me what kind of book I read during the winter or festive time.

Hot Chocolate: What is your favorite children’s book?

Easy, I don’t think you know the following books but still (It’s in Dutch): De Thea Sisters, Prinsessen van Fantasia en Heksen van Fantasia all written by Thea Stilton. De Thea Sisters is about 5 girls who are all mice, they have all sorts of adventures, Prinsessen van Fantasia is about these 5 sisters who need to rule this one large kingdom, they have their own ”small” kingdoms within the large kingdom, then there comes this villain and all the sisters have to stand together and eliminate him, Heksen van Fantasia is continuing the sisters journey but with new villains. I loved them very much and these books got me really into reading, as well as Harry Potter of course!

Double shot of espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish

Percy Jackson, without a doubt. I love him and everything that has to do with him or the books. I was hooked on to this series and read the last 3 books within two days. I started reading the Heroes of Olympus but so far I’m not really hooked or anything to it.

Starbucks: Name a book that you see everywhere

Illuminae, I see it literally everywhere but have no clue what’s it about. Is it good and do you recommend it? Let me know!

That hipster coffee shop: Give a book by an indie author a shoutout

I don’t think I know any indie authors… (Note from Sigrid: I’m personally offended ?)

Oops! I accidently got decaf: name a book you were expecting more from

So far all the Gossip Girl books I’ve read. I love the tv series so I thought I would give the books a shot. I don’t like them very much but I will finish the series.

The perfect blend: Name a book or series that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying

Do you have some time? The Hobbit, The Mortal Instruments, Harry Potter, The Selection, The 5th Wave Series, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Hunger Games and of course We Were Liars. Also, reading most of these books got me crying. How nice of them.

Green Tea: Name a book or series that is quietly beautiful

I go with We Were Liars for obvious reasons: it has its own little world, so tragic but oh so romantic and emotional. I truly loved it.

Chai tea: a book or series that makes you dream of far off places

Harry Potter. I get lost in the words, in the actions, in everything that has to deal with some sort of Harry Potter or Hogwarts or Hogsmeade. It’s just magical and I love it.

Earl Grey: Name your favorite classic

I don’t know if this counts but I’m saying the Hobbit. It’s just amazing and I love it too much!

So, did you like my answers? Did you see some coming or not? Let me know!

Bye guys!
